Background study

• Samples used in the analysis:
  

We select events with two oppositely charged high pt isolated leptons requiring

• pt > 35 & abs(eta) < 2.4 & (caloIso+trackIso)/pt < 0.15 for the muons
• pt > 20 & abs(eta) < 2.4 & (caloIso+trackIso)/pt < 0.15 for the electrons

A distance deltaR > 0.4 between the leptons is also imposed. The events passing the selection requirements are used to construct a transverse mass.
