Outreach

Additional Information

CMS Collaboration Responsibilities

  1. High-Level Trigger Convener for the Phase-II Upgrade: 2018–current. I am personally responsible for coordinating the efforts of designing a High-Level Trigger that can withstand the experimental conditions of the High Luminosity LHC, allowing the CMS experiment to increase its ultimate dataset by a factor of 10. I also coordinate the writing of the HLT chapters of the HLT-DAQ TDR, slated to be published in Q2-2021.
  2. Contact of the Alignment and Calibration Group (AlCa) for the Trigger: 2015–2018. I was personally responsible for coordinating the development, validation, deployment and monitoring of the trigger algorithms used by the AlCa group in CMS. I was also responsible for coordinating the correct usage of alignment and calibration constants throughout all trigger algorithms in CMS.
  3. Contact of the EXOTICA Group for the Trigger: 2013–2015. I was personally responsible for coordinating the development, validation, deployment and monitoring of the trigger algorithms used by the EXOTICA (New Phenomena) physics analysis group in CMS.

Awards

  • 2019 CMS Achievement Award: for my “sustained efforts over many years to ensure the well running of the trigger system, making key contributions in ensuring the calibration needs of the detector were handled as ALCA-HLT convenor, in the physics needs of the experiment as EXO-HLT convenor, in online operations as a member of the FOG and to the future of the HLT with his leadership of the TSG Upgrade group”, I was presented with one of the CMS achievement awards in 2019.
